We asked, and you delivered. The voting period of the Pop Awards 2020 is over and your votes have been counted. A big thank you to all the fans for coming out to show love for your favorite artists, and to the expert panel for casting their ballots. The impact of all the nominees on their fans was genuinely felt by the astounding response. It was a tight contest and we can’t wait to reveal the results. Pop Magazine is ready to present the winners of 2020, the five recipients of our precious awards. We will be back next year and hope you will join in again. Pop Awards 2020: Artist Of The Year Award
Winner: The Highwomen
The Highwomen take home this year’s trophy for Artist Of The Year, and it’s hard to argue against the fans on this decision. When four incredibly talented musicians come together under one sonic umbrella, you can only expect the best. The group, made up of Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires, burst onto the country music scene last year with their self-titled debut LP, a top ten album on the US charts. The Highwomen have become an iconic female supergroup with less than a year in the game and there’s no telling what they will go on to achieve in the future. Congratulations to The Highwomen on winning the Artist Of The Year Award at the Pop Awards 2020!

Pop Awards 2020: Album Of The Year Award
Winner: Jack Savoretti – “Singing To Strangers”
British musician Jack Savoretti sang to strangers on this record, and the strangers have rewarded him by voting “Singing To Strangers” the Album Of The Year. It certainly is a beautiful album, filled with enough soul, emotion, and infectious melodies to keep you hooked from beginning to end. “Singing To Strangers” was Savoretti’s first ever chart topper, debuting at #1 on the UK charts. It comes as no surprise that the fans came through for him again when his album was nominated in this category. Congratulations to Jack Savoretti on winning the Album Of The Year Award at the Pop Awards 2020!

Pop Awards 2020: Song Of The Year Award
Winner: Nuela Charles – “Got It Bad”
Canadian songstress Nuela Charles wins Song Of The Year for her fantastic delivery on “Got It Bad”. Charles took us to church on this beautiful song with a groove that will have you moving your body or at least nodding your head and tapping your foot, even on a dreary Monday morning. So it’s only natural that fans have voted “Got It Bad” the winner in this category. Congratulations to Nuela Charles on winning the Song Of The Year Award at the Pop Awards 2020!

Pop Awards 2020: Emerging Artist Of The Year Award
Winner: Caleb Elliott
The trophy for Emerging Artist Of The Year goes to Caleb Elliott and it’s a well-deserved win for the musician from Louisiana. He displays his superior songwriting skills and musicianship on his debut album, “Forever To Fade”, which was released in 2019. Elliott’s music is very infectious, even hypnotic at times, and it makes complete sense that fans have chosen him to win this award. Congratulations to Caleb Elliot on winning the Emerging Artist Of The Year Award at the Pop Awards 2020!

Pop Awards 2020: Lifetime Achievement Award
Winner: Willie Nelson
With eight Grammys, several Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum records, and a career that has lasted more than six decades, Willie Nelson is this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. Very few artists can boast such an illustrious career, and even fewer artists are still as active at his age as he is today. His fans came forward and have voted to honor this legend for his tremendous musical achievements. Congratulations to Willie Nelson on winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Pop Awards 2020!
