“Pink Noise”, the third studio album by British recording artist Laura Mvula, is out now. In 2008, Mvula graduated with a degree in composition from the Birmingham City University and ten years later she received an honorary doctorate of music from her alma mater. In 2013, she had released her debut LP, “Sing To The Moon”, to critical acclaim and her sophomore effort, “The Dreaming Room”, followed suit in 2016. About the creation of her new record, Mvula says, “It took three years of waiting and waiting and fighting and dying and nothingness and then finally an explosion of sound.” An unmistakable 80s dance vibe is in the air as soon as songs like “Safe Passage”, “Church Girl”, or “Got Me” blast through the speakers. “Golden Ashes” and title track “Pink Noise” are other notable songs on Mvula’s third opus.
