Melody Gardot – Sunset In The Blue

Jazz singer and songwriter Melody Gardot has released her fifth studio album, entitled “Sunset In The Blue”. Together with producer Larry Klein, she’s crafted a beautiful follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Currency Of Man”. The album cover of “Sunset In The Blue” features a bold painting by Pat Steir, while Gardot continues to delight with slower, quieter tunes, a style she’s chosen after a serious accident in 2003 left her with oversensitivity to light and sound. Standout songs from the new album include title track “Sunset In The Blue”, as well as “Ave Maria” and a new version of Henry Mancini’s and Johnny Mercer’s “Moon River” which was originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Melody Gardot, who moved from the US to France in 2017, has also included the marvelous single “From Paris With Love” on her new record. For more info go to melodygardot.com
