William Prince – Reliever

Canadian singer-songwriter William Prince has released his sophomore album, “Reliever”. This follows the folk pop singer’s debut LP, “Earthly Days”, which earned him a Juno Award in 2017. Prince succeeds in keeping standards high on his new record which soothes in a uniquely reflective way. The lyrics postulate everything from parenthood, faith, loving and being loved, ultimately shaping the album into a gentle cascade of wonder and hopefulness. “The Spark” warms from the kindling effect of love while “Always Have What We Had” and “Leave It By The Sea” capture the complexities of change and growth. The irrefutable love of a father takes center stage in “Wasted” and “That’s All I’ll Ever Become” while the title track, “Reliever”, artistically stills the weary listener.
