Blues legend Buddy Guy has released his new studio album, entitled “The Blues Is Alive And Well”. At age 81, the trailblazing guitar virtuoso and vocalist is still on tour all year, and every time he performs, the blues is alive indeed. However, the seven-time Grammy winner admits that he is worried about the genre, and that’s why he is on a mission to tell the world about the greatness of blues music. On his brilliant new album, Buddy Guy features four Englishmen, including Keith Richards and Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones, one of the British bands he credits with waking up the world to the blues when the genre was dying in America of the 1960s. “The Blues Is Alive And Well” comes with a hopeful message, and when Buddy Guy talks about talented young artists who play the blues, he is hopeful that the genre will survive.
