Juanita Stein – America

Juanita Stein releases her debut solo album, titled “America”. The Australian-born and London-based artist is best known as the lead singer of rock band Howling Bells. Her solo LP was recorded in Los Angeles, and, as the title suggests, this album is an ode to America. “I’ve forever idealized American life”, she says and explains that growing up in Australia they had been fed the American Dream through film and television. In a change of musical direction from Howling Bells, Juanita Stein delivers dark pop songs with stories of heartbreak and hope, beautiful tunes that perfectly suit her honeyed voice.
