Jewel – Freewheelin’ Woman
Jewel has published her ninth studio album, entitled “Freewheelin’ Woman”. The twelve-track record of folk, rock, pop, country and soul music elements is her first new album in seven years. It was largely written by the 47-year-old singer herself and the production was handled in collaboration with Butch Walker. Jewel covers themes like womanhood, heartbreak, and independence, but unfortunately she overdid the vocals on some of the tracks. “Grateful” and “Nothing But Love” are two of the songs worth listening to. The clear highlight of the album is her duet with Darius Rucker, entitled “No More Tears”. From June to August, Jewel will be on US tour along with Train and Blues Traveler.
