Bilal – In Another Life

The new album “In Another Life” by singer and songwriter Bilal is out now. The artist from Philadelphia released his critically acclaimed debut in 2001, assisted by a prominent production team which included Dr. Dre, J Dilla, The Roots, and Raphael Saadiq. However, Bilal didn’t release another album for nine years because his label doubted his commercial potential and shelved his follow-up record indefinitely after the music had leaked on the internet. The two LPs that finally followed in 2010 and 2013 allowed him to get more involved with the production and experiment with his music to find his voice. Bilal’s latest release, “In Another Life”, with guest appearances by Big K.R.I.T., Kendrick Lamar, and Kimbra, shows how he has perfected his sophisticated style, an exciting fusion of soul, jazz, and rock music.
